BEREA CITY PARK

The 38-acre Berea Athletic Complex, designed by Brandsetter/Carroll of Lexington, opened on July 4th, 1993. Some of the park’s features include: baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, walking trail, picnic shelter, playground, basketball court, horseshoe pits, and sand volleyball court. Our complex supports a variety of individual and organized sports, including leagues sponsored by the Berea Youth League, Madison County Youth Soccer, and Berea Youth Football.

   
 

erea Parks and Recreation Park Rules

  1. The park opens at daylight and closes at dusk. Persons in the park before or after these hours, except for an approved activity, will be required to leave.

  2. The walking trail closes at dark.

  3. No littering, theft, or vandalism of park property. Offenders will be prosecuted!

  4. No glass containers, coolers, or outside food permitted.

  5. No alcoholic beverages or unlawful substances are allowed.

  6. No vehicles are allowed in the complex. All vehicles are to be parked in the Berea Community School parking lot. The City of Berea is not responsible for theft, vandalism, or damages to cars parked in the parking lot. Unauthorized vehicles parked in the lot after closing time or parked in “No Parking” areas will be towed at the expense of the owner.

  7. No bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, or scooters permitted within the fences of the complex area.

  8. No profanity or abusive language shall be used in the park.

  9. No fighting or physical abuse of spectators, participants, or park personnel will be tolerated. Violators will be subject to penalty by law as prescribed in KRS 525.060.

  10. No fighting or physical abuse of sports officials will be tolerated! Violators will be subject to penalty by law as prescribed in KRS 518.090.

  11. No firearms of any kind are allowed on park grounds.

  12. All participants and spectators must remain behind the fence.

  13. Under wet conditions the fields are not to be played on.

  14. Field lights are only to be used if it is in the agreement with the City of Berea.

  15. Field lights shall be turned on at dusk and turned off as soon as the fields are vacated.

  16. Signs, schedules, etc may not be posted on any surface within the park. Posting of signs will be permitted in the locked bulletin board only. Any such materials must be submitted to the Recreation Director for approval and posting at least two days prior to the event.
